The Lessons of Pi

Oxford defines “Guru” as the following, (Hinduism and Buddhism) a spiritual teacher, especially one who imparts initiation, from Hindi and Punjabi, from Sanskrit guru ‘weighty, grave’ (compare with Latin gravis ), hence ‘elder, teacher’.

My dog Pika, aka The Pi, was my Guru. Aged before her time, with flecks of grey hair on her face even as a young dog, The Pi often embodied a stern expression with absolutely no tolerance for fools of any species. So how She chose me to impart Her Wisdom and Lessons I have no idea, other than, like me, She embraced a “soul/student” who lacked the ability to see their own hidden Divine Potential.

This book is my journey following Pika’s departure from this World and on to the next. It is a the unabashed telling of the lost human I became immediately following The Pi’s death. The angry, injured soul with no teacher and no foreseeable purpose. The Hard Learned Lessons that came out of all of it as The Pi continued to teach from above all She put in place while on Earth.

A humorous weaving of Self destruction and bad behavior along an injury filled journey by a Soul destined to choose the Hardest Paths only to come out the other side. In so doing, by sharing, perhaps other wandering souls will journey or choose, a Path less cobbled, via The Lessons of Pi.

What Readers
Are Saying

Excellent Writing
This book is a great reminder that we can always learn something and the universe (or a dog) is constantly trying to guide us, if we will just listen. The author writes beautifully. She gives the kind of detail that makes you feel as if you are right there going through the same thing. These things are all the things we can relate to on some level. It is uncanny that this book is being released at a time when it is needed most!

Honest. Funny. Raw. Uplifting
Loved the writing style. Like hearing a story from a close friend who's been there and out the other side. Found myself sharing parts of it with my own friends to help them through tough situation, let them know they aren't alone or just to make them laugh.

Lessons of PI is a must read!
The Lessons of PI is a riveting true story of lessons all people can place in their lives. You can pick up the book at any page. You don’t have to start at lesson 1. I love the genuine and vulnerable writing the author uses. Lessons of PI is a must read!
